Project Overview

Amotto Consultancy was engaged by Haydn and Rollett to review the concept design of the new indoor swimming and spa pool facilities for operational and practical suitability. The facilities are to be built within the redevelopment project of the Karaka Pines Estate Amenities Building.

Karaka Pines Estate engaged Amotto Consultancy to develop Site-Specific Operational Procedures for the existing outdoor swimming pool which will nicely complement the proposed indoor facilities once completed.

New Development Project:

review the concept design for operational and practical suitability and consider
the overall scope of works for completeness.
ensure that the pool and filtration design is fit for purpose
Provide a design review service for the pool and spa filtration design. Advise on
the design compliance with NZS 4441:2008 and for ease of operational requirements.

Site-Specific Operational Procedures:

were written in accordance with NZS 5826:2010 Pool Water Quality, NZS 441:2008
Swimming Pool Design, and industry-specific guidelines
were presented to Karaka Lifestyle Estate in a comprehensive manual
used as the basis for the onsite staff training sessions.

Onsite staff training sessions:

familiarised the aquatic staff with the SSOPs
ensured the aquatic staff at Karaka Lifestyle Estate have the capability to run a
well-maintained, healthy and pleasant aquatic facility.

The Site-Specific Operational Procedures (SSOPs) provided by Amotto Consultancy means that the staff at Karaka Lifestyle Estate will be able to operate and maintain enjoyable and safe facilities, both now and into the future.
