Project Overview
Metlifecare Edgewater Village is a welcoming and well-established village set over four acres in East Auckland’s Pakuranga. In 2022, Edgewater received a stunning makeover with the construction of brand-new apartments, a communal amenity building, and a 24/7 care home – a full facelift and a new lease on life.
As part of the makeover, Amotto Consultancy was engaged by Metlifecare to work alongside their development team to upgrade the existing swimming and spa pool facility to meet the requirements of the village and their residents.
Amotto Consultancy worked with Edgewater Village to complete SSOPs for their swimming and spa pool facilities and undertook staff training to ensure that the facilities and the staff were at their best.
All this work ensures that the Metlifecare Edgewater Village aquatic facilities meet industry standards and provide a healthy, pleasant environment for residents now and in the future.
Project Outcomes
Amotto Consultancy’s independent advice assured that Metlifecare’s facility design met all operational, regulatory, and market requirements. Amotto Consultancy also provided detailed installation instructions for all pool plant and equipment. This ensured the facility was created from the ground up to be functional and compliant, using equipment that was fit for purpose.
Through this project with Amotto Consultancy, the aquatic staff at Metlifecare Edgewater Village now have the procedures and training to deliver a healthy, safe, enjoyable and future-proofed environment for residents and their guests.
