Metlifecare is one of the premier retirement village providers across New Zealand, with more than 42 villages offering a full suite of lifestyles and options.
Metlifecare aims to create homes and communities to help New Zealanders live vibrant and fulfilling lifestyles in their retirement. As such, they recognise that part of the lifestyle offering is ensuring that their aquatic facilities not only meet the industry standards but also deliver on design and day-to-day use.
Working as a client representative within the Project Team, Amotto Consultancy worked across these projects from conceptual design to and throughout construction, providing support and any relevant documentation for the handover of the facility to the Operations Team within Metlifecare.
Project Outcomes
The independent advice that Amotto Consultancy provided to Metlifecare ensured that the facility design satisfied all operational, compliance and industry needs. Amotto Consultancy also provided clear specifications of all pool plant and equipment to be installed. This ensured a functional and compliant facility was built from the start, with equipment that is fit for purpose.
The Metlifecare villages that have been developed this way are ‘future fit’ with healthy, safe and enjoyable aquatic facilities that will serve the residents and their guests well, and an Operational Team equipped to manage these facilities.
