Good Friends – Living Well Centre

Project Overview

Arvida Living Well Park Lane (Good Friends) supports older New Zealanders to live their best lives in the homes they know and love – with private home-help services, door-to-door transport, and beautiful community spaces for social connection, activities and fitness.

Amotto Consultancy worked with Arvida Living Well Park Lane (Good Friends) to develop site-specific operational procedures for their aquatic facilities and then provided onsite staff training sessions for these SSOPs.

Amotto Consultancy also assisted the Good Friends staff to apply for Quality Pools accreditation, which is the operational benchmark set by Recreation Aotearoa for all retirement village pool and spa facilities and is endorsed by the Retirement Village Association (RVA)

Project Outcomes

Site-Specific Operational Procedures:

were written in accordance with NZS 5826:2010 Pool Water Quality, NZS 441:2008 Swimming Pool Design, and industry-specific guidelines
were presented to Arvida Living Well Park Lane (Good Friends) in a comprehensive manual
used as the basis for the onsite staff training sessions.

Onsite staff training sessions:

familiarised the aquatic staff with the SSOPs
ensured the aquatic staff at Living Well Park Lane have the capability to run a well-maintained, healthy and pleasant aquatic facility.

Quality Pool accreditation:

has been presented to Arvida Living Well Park Lane (Good Friends).

Through this project with Amotto Consultancy, the aquatic staff at Arvida Living Well Park Lane (Good Friends) now have the procedures and training to deliver a healthy, safe, enjoyable and future-proofed environment for residents and their guests.
