Project Overview
Te Kura O Hiruharama Primary School had a classic New Zealand concrete, above-ground school pool, which has been used and enjoyed by pupils of the school and surrounding community for many years. However, the pool was showing its age.
Wanting to understand what state their pool was really in and what they could do for its continued use, the Board of Te Kura O Hiruharama Primary School engaged Amotto Consultancy to complete a Condition Assessment Report.
Project Outcomes
The site Condition Assessment Report:
- identified compliance requirements
- prioritised maintenance needs
- provided recommendations and estimated costs for required works, and
- identified opportunities to simply improve the function and operations of the facility.
Te Kura O Hiruharama Primary School then raised the necessary funds and has undertaken the recommended work.
The kura and its community now have a fit-for-purpose pool that will see them well into the future.
