Project Overview
Amotto Consultancy worked with Thames South School to complete a Condition Assessment Report on their existing swimming pool facilities. The completed report provided the school with an initial overall ‘snap-shot’ of the condition of the existing aquatic facilities and also a clear list of prioritised recommendations and associated costs to complete the necessary remedial works to meet regulatory standards, as well as upgrades that would ensure the facilities’ ongoing use into the future.
Project Outcomes
The site Condition Assessment Report:
- identified compliance requirements
- prioritised maintenance needs
- provided recommendations and estimated costs for required works, and
- identified opportunities to simply improve the function and operations of the facility.
Using the information detailed in the Condition Assessment Report, Thames South School successfully applied for additional funding, which they used to complete the remedial works and upgrade their swimming pool facilities.
The school and its community now have a fit-for-purpose pool that will see them well into the future.
